How to point your domain to GeHost (ns1 and ns2.entexp.com.br)

For your website and e-mail to work on GeHost hosting, the domain must use the GeHost nameservers (DNS servers).

Before you switch

• Your hosting plan must be active at GeHost, with the domain set up in it. Otherwise the domain will point to a zone that does not exist yet.
• If you use e-mail accounts or subdomains at your old provider, create the same accounts and subdomains at GeHost before switching.

Step by step

1. Sign in to your account at the registrar where the domain is registered (for example, Registro.br for .br domains).
2. Open the domain and look for the DNS or "Change nameservers" option.
3. Remove the old servers and enter ns1.entexp.com.br and ns2.entexp.com.br.
4. Save.

If the domain was registered through GeHost, change it in the Client Area (painel.gehost.com.br): Domains, My Domains, Manage, then open Nameservers.

How long it takes

Propagation can take up to 24 business hours to settle. During that time your website and e-mail may switch back and forth between the old provider and GeHost. This is normal.
